Target Audience

Anyone wishing to enter the industry who require operator training.

Course Aim

To train novice operators in the skills required to enter the industry as a certified skid steer loader operator.

Course Content

The course covers:

  • Work planning and pre-operational checks
  • Operation of a skid steer loader
  • Shifting loads
  • Select, remove and fit attachments
  • Relocating the skid steer loader
  • Machine maintenance and clean-ups
  • Adopting safe work practices

Assessment

This is an assessable course.  You will be required to undertake a written and practical assessment. 

Certification

Those successfully completing this course will receive a Statement of Attainment and Heavy Equipment Accreditation wallet card for the nationally accredited unit RIIMPO318B Conduct Skid Steer Loader Operations.

Duration

The duration of the course is 2 days and runs from 8.00am - 4.00pm each day.  Morning and afternoon tea is included.  Courses can also be conducted at the workplace.
